The rulebook for men in the 21st century

Unapologetic masculinity

The Definition of Insanity

What if I told you ‘insane’ was working fifty hours a week in some office for fifty years at the end of which they tell you to piss off; ending up in some retirement village hoping to die before suffering the indignity of trying to make it to the toilet on time? Wouldn’t you consider that to be insane?

~ Steve Buscemi (Con Air, Paramount Pictures, 2003)

I think the lifestyle described above fits quite nicely alongside another realization:

By following the crowd, being “normal” and taking the advice of people living this rabid consumerist and instant gratification lifestyle, you become a slave. A slave to the multinational company writing your checks and to the material objects you are told to imprint value and sentiment on. But worst of all, you become a slave to the people you don’t know, (who are already too self-absorbed to even notice you), yet you still yearn to impress, seek approval from and fit in with.

Reject the beaten path, forge your own.

Who are you going to be?
